A man's dead fiancee dedicates her afterlife to keeping his new lover away from him. It's the day of Kate's wedding to Henry. They are the ideal happy couple, and everything is destined to work out great... until the ice sculptor gets drunk, and his ice angel falls on Kate, crushing her. The next thing she knows, Kate is in Purgatory, but before the angel before her can tell her how to pass into heaven, Kate gets into a fight with it, causing her to be stuck between worlds. Meanwhile, Henry is stuck too-- stuck feeling terrible about the death of his fiancee, unable to move on. Henry's sister Chloe tries to make him feel better by going to a psychic, a gorgeous woman named Ashley, but she is unable to say the right things to make Henry feel better. Chloe decides to convince Ashley into creating a lie: with the help of Kate's diary, Ashley can use what she learns from it to create a sense of closure for Henry, allowing him to move on with his life. While doing this, Ashley falls in love with Henry, and vice versa. However, when Kate sees what Ashley is doing, she is displeased, and when she starts voicing her opinion... Ashley is shocked to find that she can hear Kate. Kate, with the help of the drunken ice sculptor (who is now dead and also a ghost), learns that to move on to Heaven, she must finish all her unfinished business on Earth. Kate believes this is to keep the lying Ashley away from Henry, so she uses her powers as a ghost to constantly harass Ashley and ruin her life. Ashley and Henry finally break up, but when Kate realizes her unfinished business is to make sure Henry is happy, and she sees Henry could've been happy with Ashley, she must work her ghostly magic to get them back together again.

Best part of story, including ending:
This premise could make for a good movie (the terrific Ghost Town covers very similar themes), but the script is flat and cartoony, so it never gets funny.
Best scene in story:
Lake Bell is a gifted comedienne as Ashley, so when Kate tricks Ashley into thinking an emergency alarm is going off at the gym while Ashley is in the shower, Lake Bell's panicked response is amusing.
Opinion about the main character:
Kate is vindictive, and worse than that, she has zero discernible personality. Eva Longoria hardly even tries to act in it either.
