Paid In Full stars Wood Harris as Ace, a quite kid from Harlem who works for a local tailor. Surrounded by the burgeoning drug trade, Ace resists the temptation as he sees his friend Mitch (Mekhi Phifer) showing up with motorcycles, fancy cars, and wads of cash. One day while making a delivery Ace meets Lulu (Esai Morales) and takes a bag of clothes back to the tailor shop. Once there, he finds a ball of cocaine wrapped in plastic wrap in the pocket of the pants. Ace takes it back to Lulu. They chat for a minute and Lulu convinces him to start dealing the stuff when his sisters boyfriend Calvin (Kevin carrol) gets busted. Ace makes his first deal and never looks back. He goes to see Lulu who shows him a kilo of quality drugs. Lulu gives Ace an 1/8 of a kilo and while Mitch is in jail he builds an empire. The big money starts coming in and for a time Ace has fancy cars and wads of cash in his pocket. But the struggle for power within the crew and neighborhood tears Ace's world apart.
