Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Pay It Forward

This is an excellant movie and comes Highly recommended! Haley Joel Osmond is the main character who when charged by his teacher(Kevin Spacey) with the task of doing something good to benefit the world, comes up with a plan that is much more agressive and ambitious than his classmates and his plan is the only real humanitarian task in the class. Haley attempts to change the world in his one small corner of it by coming up with a plan to pay it forward, which is a play of words on the term to pay it back. He figures if you take people who have an obvious known problem and give them a means to overcome it, and if their only requirement is to do the same for three other people he can slowly affect the world into a positive change. His alcoholic Mother(Helen Hunt) and Teacher who has visable burn marks all over his body are part of his plan. He tests their resolve and at one point believes the plan is failing and starts to lose faith. However he does not realize that while people can initially fail at their task, if they try again they can get it right. The story branches out over many miles and through many different types of people including a Newspaper writer who loses his job but follows this story back to it's roots and that is the path the plot takes going back in time seeing how these fates of different people all link together, and it all comes together by movies end. I must warn you that while this movie is one of the best five movies I have EVER seen there is a Highly emotional totally unexpected ending- be prepared!
