Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Poseidon

We're in the middle of the Atlantic ocean and it's New Year's Eve. While the passengers are celebrating, a huge wave turns the ocean liner "Poseidon" upside down. Former NYC Mayor Robert Ramsey and Dylan Johns, a professional gambler, decide, with 6 other passengers, to leave the ballroom and try to reach the surface of the ocean by climbing back through air shafts and ballasts. The passengers who stayed in the ballroom drown when the window glasses explode because of the huge pression.

Two members of the Ramsey-Johns expedition also die : the Hispanic stowaway Elena who drowns while trying to follow her companions and Valentin, a servant, who falls into an elevator tower. When the group finally reaches the bottom of the Poseidon, they are stopped by the propellers of the boat which are still working. This remake of "The Poseidon Adventure" was directed by Wolfgang Petersen in 2005.
