Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Puss in Boots

Antonio Banderas is the voice of Puss in Boots. While trying to escape from a bounty hunter, that wants to put him in jail, Puss learns that Jack and Jill (with the voices of Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris) possess beans that are magical. These beans hold the key to getting him to the giant's house where the goose that lays the golden eggs is kept. While Puss tries to steal the beans he runs into Kitty Softpaws (with the voice of Salma Hayek). Kitty wants the beans also. But they leave empty-handed to fight more with each other. After having a fight it reveals that the masked cat is Kitty and female, much to the surprise of Puss.

Kitty works with Humpty Dumpty, an egg with the voice of Zach Galifianakis. They want to steal the golden eggs, so they plan to steal the beans once again. They ally with Puss who agrees to help them. They successfully steal the beans from Jack and Jill, then plant them to grow into a big vine they use to get to the giant's house. The house of the giant is guarded by a monster called the Terror because the giant has been long dead. They see the golden eggs but they are too heavy to carry, so they choose to steal the golden goose instead.

On the way back they are attacked by Jack and Jill. Puss is knocked out. When he revives, he follows the tracks of Jack and Jill to the town. It is there where he learns that Humpty set him up and that both Jack and Jill knew of the plot to get Puss arrested so that Humpty could get revenge for Puss turning him in for a crime they did together when they were children.

Puss goes to jail where he meets Jack Beanstalk (with the voice of Mike Mitchell) who tells him the Terror that guards the giant's castle is actually a huge goose. Kitty helps Puss escape from jail. Puss convinces Humpty to help him defeat the Terror. They use the small goose to attract the Terror. When they lead it out of town Humpty falls from a bridge. His shell cracks open. We see he is a golden egg inside. The Terror escapes with both the small goose and Humpty. Puss is still on the run from the law. He leaves the small town, where everyone thinks he is a hero, to live to fight another day.
Best part of story, including ending: It is interesting that this is the prequel to the appearance of the Puss in Boots character in Shrek.

Best scene in story: When Puss first battles the masked cat, he sword fights fiercely not realizing, until she removes her mask, that he is fighting a woman. I like that Kitty Softpaws is almost as strong as Puss in Boots.

Opinion about the main character: No matter what he does, Puss never seems to be completely out of trouble.
