The movie is a serie of anecdotes about a time (1938-1944) when radio broadcasts held the place of the TV in american families. The story focuses on a Jewish family living in the state of New-York. Parents argue and fight all the time but they are tremendously fond of each other, a 30 years old aunt is looking for the Prince Charming but is too selective to find happiness and the 8 years old son listens with veneration to the radio adventures of the Masked Avenger. Their life is lulled by the songs coming all-day long from the family radio while WWII is roaring thousands of miles away. A little Woody Allen gem deserving to be rediscovered.
