Riding in Cars with Boys Movie Review Summary

Actors: Drew Barrymore, Steve Zahn, Brittany Murphy

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Riding in Cars with Boys

Drew Barrymore plays Beverly D'Onofrio who gets pregnant at the age of 15 and marries her short term boyfriend Raymond Hasek(Steve Zahn). Her marriage falls apart and she struggles to raise her son and persue a writing career. She resents her son for holding her back and it shows later when the boy grows up and in the way they react to each other. The movie is based on the book by Beverly D'Onofrio, so apparently she acknowledges her faults as a mother and the film seems to be about coming to terms with ones faults and taking responsibility for your own mistakes as well appreciating your blessings.
