This is another version of the Robin Hood story. Robin and the Moor Morgan Freeman assemble the poor peasants of the region to challenge Alan Rickman, the mean Sheriff of Nottingham, who's dreaming of replacing Richard Lionheart.

Romance beyond belief! Kevin can be my Robin Hood any day!
This is a typical steal from the rich and give to the poor story but the quality of the visuals makes you feel like you are there! I could reach out and touch the fabrics they wore.

Kevin Costner is Robin Hood, prince of thieves! In this re-hash of the English legend, Costner leads the rogue-hero in a dynamic production--one that is fun to watch and one
that certainly will hold your attention. Aptly and expertly aided by Morgan Freeman, Robin returns home from a crusade to find things are even worse than when left. And
surprise of surprises, he finds that the naughty sheriff of Nottingham has confiscated the land of Robin's father (Robin is no poor thief in this version!), Robin mounts the attack. Alan Rickman plays--superbly in this instance: his performance is absolutely top-notch!--the sheriff, determined once and for all to eliminate Robin and his merry
followers, regardless of the means! Probably the best “Robin Hood” filmed!
