This story set in the small, quaint town of Rustin, Alabama delves into the life of the town hero retired professional quarterback and current sheriff, Billy Stagen portrayed by Rick Johnson who also directs this film. Billy's seemingly comfortable existence gets shaken up when Lee (Ashley Johnson), Billy's 16-year old daughter whom he never met shows up at his doorstep. After several failed attempts at getting Lee out of his life, he's forced to give parenthood a try. Now Billy must juggle the free life he was used to with the new demanding roll of father. Adding trouble are the Rustin High School Rebels seniors on the football team led by a ruffian, Keith Gatlin (Zachary Ty Bryan).
