Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Ruthless People

Sam Stone is a greedy buisnessman. While Stone has all the money he wants, he hates his wife Barbara with a passion but the only reason he sticks around because of she would soon inherit money by her dying dad. Mrs. Stone constantly nags and her irritable behavior is driving her husband up the wall. He also cheats on her with his mistress Carol Dodsworth and has a little plan to kill his wife soon and take all of Barbara's money and live a life of happiness with Dodsworth.

One day Sam comes home and finds out that his wife is nowhere to be found. Until he finds out that she has been kidnapped! The kidnappers happens to be young married couple Ken and Sandy Kessler. They know about Sam and his filthy ways as he took Sandy's spandex miniskirt idea, credit it as his own and made millions off of the clothing while Sandy didn't receive a dime. Ken makes a ransom call to Sam demanding money or else Barbera ends up dead. He also inform Sam not to call the police since the businssman is the reason the Kesslers is in a deep financial loophole.

Of course Sam is very delighted about the news yet tries his best to act as if he is concern about his wife's whereabouts. Also he makes no move to respond to Ken calls because he want his wife dead anyway and out of his life. On the flip side, Barbara is quite umoved by the whole "kidnapping" incident by Ken and Sandy and enjoy her life with them to oppose all the years spent with her money-hungry husband. But Sam should be keeping a eye on Carol since she wants to kill him, take Sam's cash and run off with her hunky boyfriend Earl.
