Katie (Julianne Hough) is on the run. She boards a bus from Boston and travels aimlessly to the South. On a stop at a picturesque beachside town in North Carolina, she decides to just get off, settle, and assume a new identity. Here she meets a handsome widower Alex (Josh Duhamel) who runs a small mom n' pop store who becomes interested in her. Pushing away his advances, Katie is bent on having a solitary life, without people peeking into her mysterious past. But not before long, she gives in to Alex's charms and kindness. All is well until her past tries to sneak up from behind her. Katie could possibly be a criminal or is simply innocent, both wrangle through this challenge and see if love prevails.
