Savages Movie Review Summary

Actors: Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Taylor Johnson

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Savages

Chon (Taylor Kitsch) is an ex-soldier who runs a successful pot business with his best friend, Ben (Aaron Taylor Johnson) in Southern California. Their pot is extremely popular because Chon brought home a special strain from his tour in the Middle East, and with Ben's botany expertise, was able to tweak it to its current potent form. Their product attracts the attention of a rival Mexican cartel led by Elena (Salma Hayek), who stops at nothing to steal their business. She kidnaps O (Blake Lively), Chon and Ben's lover, and keeps her hostage in Mexico until the boys meet her demands. The boys have other plans in mind, storming Elena's mansion for an all-out assault and rescue of O.

Best part of story, including ending: Ben and Chon's friendship is strange, sharing the same girl and all, but still believable.

Best scene in story: When Elena mouths off on her right-hand man (Benicio Del Toro) and scolds him for not doing his job.

Opinion about the main character: Chon takes matters in his own hands, and is resolved in fighting for what's his, be it his business or his girl.
