A man who caused the accidental deaths of 7 people seeks redemption by handpicking 7 people for his secret project. Tim, in a car accident leaves 7 people dead, one of them his fiance. He vows to correct this wrong by giving life to others in need by donating his various organs. He picks 7 people. He spends his time tracking down sick people and meeting them to see if they are "worthy." He gives his lung to his brother, a kidney to a coach, part of his liver to a woman, and his bone marrow to a boy. He meets an abused woman and gives her his home. Later he meets a blind man and a woman, Emily, with a heart ailment. As he spends time with Emily, he falls in love with her. Despite this unexpected turn of events, he knows that he still needs to complete his "mission." His final act is to commit suicide, while the executor of his will makes sure that his cornea and heart is left with Emily and the blind man Ezra. Later on, In a chance meeting, Emily and Ezra meet, and find out about their inter-connected stories.

Best part of story, including ending: It reminds me of Pay It Forward, but this is more over the top.

Best scene in story: When you find out Tim's final plans.

Opinion about the main character: It's noble of him to go on this quest, but meddling with people's lives under false pretenses is risky.
