Shrek Movie Review Summary

Actors: Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Shrek

In a very humerious turn of events a orge named Shrek joins up with a talking Donkey. Then, when Shrek's swamp becomes populated by fairytale creatures forced out of their homes by the Prince Faarwald, he ventures out to see the prince, and demands he remove them. But, the prince sends Shrek on a quest to rescue a princess the prince wants to marry (on the condition the fairytale creatures get lost). The true gem of this movie is not the events, but the comical satire throughout it. A must see.

Probably one of the most blown out of proportion movies I've ever seen. Shrek is really not that funny. Eddie Murphy uses much of the typical loud mouth cliche's he always does, Myers is rarely funny at all, and the occasional spoofs are overdone. There are some hilarious moments, like the gingerbread torture scene, but that's about it. Still, many people seem to like this movie.

The movie Shrek is a great laugh. Primarily this movie would be directed at children but it would be a fantastic saturday night pick me up for the whole family. Although Shrek is a comedy it still has elements of romance. Shrek goes on a quest to rescue a princess to obtain his swamp back accompanied by his, dare i say it, talking donkey!

Shrek is the jorney of an Ogre who must save a Princess in order to regain his swamp from a bunch of fairytale creatures. He is helped by his sidekick, donkey, whom adds a comical side to the movie. Shrek finds romance when he meets the Princess, who is destined to marry the Prince. A hilariously funny movie with little soppy romance, and a funny dance routine at the end. Thoroughly enjoyable. A must see.

Great family film about an ogre named Shrek who rescues a princess and must deal with his own insecurities as he has fallen in love with her. Along for the ride is Donkey, a wise cracking animal who was saved from the persuits of the evil Lord Farquaad who is evicting all fairy tale and mythical creatures.
