The father of a French family brings home a lab rat to serve as a pet and one by one, it influences each family member to live out their secret desires. The son becomes aware of his homosexuality and begins an affair with the maid's husband and starts having orgies in the house while the daughter becomes suicidal and a practicing sadomasochist using her boyfriend as her toy, and the mother tries to cure her son by having sex with him. All the while the father sits by passively as this all takes place until the rest of the family realizes they aren't the problem.

An average, suburban French family is transformed into a collection of sexual deviants when influenced by the new pet rat their father brings home one day after work. A formerly nerdy, reserved brother reveals that he is homosexual, and his sister becomes a crippled, suicidal sadomasochist. After their concerned mother touches the rat for the first time, she goes crazy too. The family is thrown into perverse chaos, and the film has a surprise, gross-out ending. This movie is not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach.
