Rachel has always been overshadowed by her self-centered best friend Darcy. Darcy is engaged to Rachel's old love, Dex, who she had feelings for in law-school. However, since no one acted on their feelings, Dex was swooped up by Darcy. After Rachel's birthday party, she and Dex share a cab, and are a bit tipsy. Rachel tells him that she used to have a crush on him, and Dex is surprised. He kisses her, and they have sex. Rachel is overcome with guilt and everything becomes awkward. The two pretend that nothing happened, but it's obvious that both are in love with each other. As Rachel helps Darcy with wedding preparations, she is more and more convinced that she's not for Dex. Dex reaches out to Rachel and takes her out of town, but are "caught" by Dex's dad. His dad gives him a guilt trip, thus the wedding is still on. Sick of the whole situation, Rachel goes to London, to visit a friend. When she comes back, Dex has called off the wedding, and sees her at her apartment. When Darcy drops by, Dex hides, but Darcy figures out what's going on and is furious. Months later, the best friends run into each other again, but Rachel, now free from Darcy's bullying, is seen happier, and finally in a relationship with Dex.

Best part of story, including ending:
I didn't like the story too much because the love triangle-between-bestfriends-angle has been done so many times before.
Best scene in story:
When Dex kisses Rachel in the cab.
Opinion about the main character:
I think Rachel deserves her sad single life because she never really had the guts to fight for Dex.
