Keanu Reeves stars as LAPD Vice detective, Tom Ludlow. While working undercover he encounters Korean gangsters who viciously beat him, as Ludlow had planned to happen. This allows him to plant a GPS tracker on their vehicle, which leads him to their hide out. After killing four of them he is congratulated by fellow detectives, except one - Detective Terry Washington (Terry Crews) - who's now going by the book and proceeds to investigate Ludlow. This prompts Ludlow to confront Washington at a grocery store where Washington is killed. Though Ludlow is innocent it doesn't look good for him.

The DNA of two criminals is found at the scene, so Ludlow along with another officer search for the two known suspects. After they find the suspect it becomes clear it was a set up, and the DNA of those two criminals was planted at the scene by some other crooked officers. After a shootout with the corrupt officers Ludlow realizes he is merely a pawn in a scheme masterminded by Captain Jack Wander (Forrest Whitaker).
Best part of story, including ending:
I like it was a twist wrapped up in a twist. Initially Ludlow is being used by Captain Wander, then he finds out he's being used by someone else.
Best scene in story:
When Ludlow realizes he was being set up by tow other officers to set up and catch Wander.
Opinion about the main character:
That he had integrity. despite Wander having so many people (judges, cops, etc.) on the take, Ludlow wouldn't go along, and even turned down the money Wander tried to bribe him with.
