Cary Grant plays Richard Nugent caught between two headstrong women. He's appearing in court before Judge Margaret Turner (Myrna Loy), a hard case if ever there were one. In a screwball twist, the artist appears as a guest lecturer at her sister's school. Teenaged Susan Turner (Shirley Temple) is instantly smitten by the rakish older man. Margaret finds out why after Susan wheedles her way into his apartment. The judge insists that it is only just for to Nugent help Susan through this crush by dating her until she tires of him. Rudy Vallee is hysterical as Margaret's suitor, Tommy Chamberlin. Ray Collins and Harry Davenport are also featured.
