Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Birds

Melanie Daniels, a wealthy newspaper heiress, and attorney Mitch Brenner meet cute in a San Francisco pet shop. She follows him to his weekend getaway town of Bodega Bay, a charming seaside village. Melanie encounters sly hostility and tension when she meets Mitch's mother, and slightly less of the same in her dealings with the town's school teacher, a former flame of Mitch's. As the tensions begin, a series of bird attacks begin, and as the characters become more adversarial, the bird attacks do too.

Birds from all over come to a small sea side town to terrorize. The birds swoop form the sky to attack people violently and for vague reasons. Tipi Hedren was made by Hitchcock (the director) for movies after being spotted in a Pepsi commercial. Soon she was faced with fending off real live birds ready to kill in the famous bedroom scene. The Birds is Hitchcock at what he does best ... the scare.

Although it feels somehow unfinished and uncomplete, this late Hitchcock classic still offers some really exciting moments, especially the playground crows gathering scene, which is a perfect example of the talent that he has when it comes to slow progression of excitement.
