Marc is a new student at a snooty high school outside of Los Angeles. Rebecca, a fame-obsessed rich girl, immediately takes a liking to Marc, and they begin hanging out consistently. Outside of a party, Marc watches, shocked, as Rebecca starts trying to open car doors and stealing whatever she can find inside. Marc casually mentions a rich friend of his is leaving town, so Rebecca insists they break in. Rebecca steals mostly clothing and accessories, hunting down fashion that they see on the famous people they see in tabloids and magazines. When Rebecca's rich friends start seeing the high fashion sporting by Marc and her, they begin trying to figure out how they all can become as fashionable. Marc one day sees on social media that Paris Hilton is leaving town, so they track down Hilton's mansion, break in, and steal all manner of expensive clothing. When they get away with it, they start breaking in to other celebrities' homes, looking for pricy shoes, jewelry, purses, and anything they can carry. They start bragging about their heists in public and on the internet, and, even when the police start hunting for them, they continue to plan the burglaries of other famous people's homes. When security surveillance captures their images, and the police find their social media braggadocio, Marc has to figure out how to get out of this tight spot without being thrown in jail.
