Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Dark Knight Rises

Eight years after the end of the last film Batman is retired and living in semi seclusion. Half way across the world super criminal Bane has been captured by the CIA along with a Russian Nuclear Physicist. Bane has mastermind the whole event so he can capture the physicist. Bane precedes to kill the CIA agents and fake his own death in a fiery plane crash. Bane has joined with the League of Shadows(bad guys from Batman Begins) to destroy Batman's beloved Gotham. Catwoman is introduced while robbing Bruce Wayne in his mansion. Batman comes out of retirement during a robbery and police car chase in a very intense scene. Batman saves Catwoman and this sets up an uneasy alliance. Batman believes in the person that Catwoman can be. Catwoman takes Batman to Bane's underground sewer hideout. Batman is set up and is nearly beaten to death by Bane. Bane locks Batman in a Tunisian prison and takes over Gotham with a nuclear weapon during a stylized attack during a football game. While Batman is locked in the prison Chief of Police Jim Gordon and Batman protege John Blake start an underground resistance. Several attempts are made by the United States government to infiltrate the city of Gotham but they are always stopped. It is revealed that Bane's plan all along is to eventually blow up the city with himself inside. Batman, still physically broken decides he will not die in a prison and starts an extreme training regiment. While escaping the prison Batman learns the secret of his enemy, Bane. After escaping Batman travels back to Gotham for his final confrontation with Bane. This time though Batman has a group of cops, citizens and former criminals helping him this time.

Best part of story, including ending: What I enjoyed the most about this movie was the way the rest of the trilogy was connected to the ending of this film, very satisfying! The thing i liked the least was how smart the Bane character appeared in the film. I don't believe he could hold a major city captive like he does in the film.

Best scene in story: My favorite scene in the film was between Batman and Catwoman when she says that she won't let him down this time. Catwoman had betrayed Batman a few times already but you really believe her when she says it this time.

Opinion about the main character: Batman is amazing and Christian Bale's acting gives a great 3rd dimension to this comic book character. Batman's personal code makes him a martyr for a city that doesn't deserve it. I couldn't say anything negative about main character.
