This is the fifth installment in the Harry Callahan saga, THE DEAD POOL is a movie directed by Buddy Van Horn in 1988.

Dirty Harry will have to deal with two major problems in this episode. Firstly, the local mob boss wants him dead since Harry testified against him in court. But it appears that the different hitmen sent by the jailed Lou Janero don't know what Harry is capable to do in order to protect his life. The second task of Harry is to find and catch the killer who murders one by one the people appearing on the Dead Pool list of horror movies director Liam Neeson. Since Harry's name is on this list, the San Francisco cop has a personal interest in the case.
