This movie consists of interconnected stories that examine situations involving the five senses. The first story represents touch. A massage therapist named Ruth (Rose) is treating a woman (Parker), while her daughter Rachel (Litz)accidentally loses the patient's preschool daughter in the park because she is watching a couple making out and so is another boy (Fletcher). A professional housecleaner (MacIvor) has an acute sense of smell; a cake maker (Parker) has lost her sense of taste; and an older man (Volter) is losing his hearing and laments its passing.
