Fred Flintstone is a worker at the rock quarry in Bedrock in prehistoric times. A nice but dim-witted man, Fred loans his best friend Barney the money for him and his wife to adopt a son. Barney vows to somehow repay him for his kindness, and the opportunity arises when the rock quarry gives its workers an IQ test. Barney switches his answers with Fred, and Fred winds up getting an executive position at the company. Fred and Barney's friendship ends up suffering when Fred becomes rich while Barney becomes poor. Meanwhile, Fred is being manipulated by his boss Cliff Vandercave to take the fall for an embezzlement scheme. Can Fred get out of his predicament and restore his friendship with Barney?
