Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Forgotten

THE FORGOTTEN is a movie directed by Joseph Ruben in 2004.

Telly Paretta can't forget that her son Sam died in a plane crash 14 months ago. She still sees a psychiatrist, Dr. Jack Munce(Sinise), because she's unable to live without thinking about Sam all day long. One day, Telly notices that Sam's photos have disappeared from her albums and she's told by her husband that she suffers from a neurosis since the death of her unborn child and that they never had a son. When Dr. Munce confirms her husband's words, Telly starts to ask people around her about Sam but no one seems to remember her son.

Telly finally goes to Ash Correl's. Ash was the father of Lauren, a friend of Sam who also died in the plane crash. When the police and then the NSA want to arrest her, Ash, who has recovered his memory, helps her to escape. Hunted by the NSA, Telly and Ash start to investigate about their children's death and are little by little convinced that Sam and Telly have been abducted by aliens. The NSA seems to be aware of this fact and to protect a state secret. Now Telly is convinced that her son is still alive; if not, why would everybody try so hard to hide his very existence ? Telly won't give up before having rescued her son.
