The Great Ziegfeld Movie Review Summary

In this grandiose, three-hour biopic of the great theater producer Florenz Ziegfeld, his meager beginnings as a carnival producer to his rise making Broadway revues are presented. Through his great admiration of female beauty, he continually seeks out to make great stars of women in lavish costumes, garnering the jealousy of his wife. The dancing is the highlight of this film, while Ziegfeld's romances and successes take a backseat to the elaborate production numbers.
