An exciting, suspenseful World War II epic with an all-star cast, filmed on the beautiful island of Crete. British Allied forces are in desperation to put an end to 'The Guns of Navarone"and the havoc they cause in loss of life. Choosing well trained specialists with an all star cast, everything is accomplished to "get the job done". Peck leads his group of specially chosen commando's and cutthroats: first shipwrecked, and then scaling rugged weather beaten cliffs in search of the guns hidden in a mountain called Navarone. Surrounded by Nazi patrol, and a hidden traitor amongst them, through betrayal and death, this movie is an example of bravery and heroism in impossible circumstances.

British forces are stranded on the island of Crete in the early days of WWII, with the Nazis planning an attack that will cost the lives of thousands. The only means of escape is a treacherous course in the Mediterranean that is guarded by two giant radar controlled guns that are hidden deep within the island mountan fortress known as Navarone. The British OSS quickly assembles a crack commando unit to scale the rugged unguarded cliffs, penetrate the installation, and blow up the guns. More than an action movie, this is a story of how ordinary people encounter unordinary circumstances. This is a story of bravery, suspense, betrayal and sacrifice all to "get the job done". The superstar cast is well suited with an excellent plot, breathtaking scenery and a wonderful score.
