    An American woman crosses paths with a British woman from a small English village with a similar dilemma of 'man troubles'. The role of two men in there lives are played by Jude Law and an unlikely Jack Black. Writer and director Nancy Meyers has made a career out of showing us in movies that what women. This movie is rated PG-13 for sexual content and some strong language.

    The man Iris is in love with is about to marry another woman. On the other side of the globe, Amanda finds out that the man she is living with is cheating on her. Two women, who have never ever met each other and lives around 6000 miles away from each other, find themselves in the exact same place on the internet. They both meet online at a website for home exchange and spontaneously switch homes for their holiday. Iris moves to sunny California in Amanda's L.A. house, whereas Amanda turns up in the snow covered English countryside at Iris place. Shortly after they arrives at their destinations, both the women find the last thing either wants or expects, which is a new romance. Amanda is charmed by Iris's handsome brother Graham and on the other hand Iris, with motivation by legendary screenwriter Arthur, who mends her heart when she meets film composer Miles.
