Dublin, Ireland in 1922. Gypo and his girl-friend are literally starving to death in this troubled period. All of a sudden, Gypo decides to betray his old friend Frankie and hand him over to the British army in order to earn the 20 reward. He will then get drunk and draw the I.R.A.'s attention by spending all the money in one night. How will Gypo defend himself when the I.R.A. will accuse him of being the informer ?
