The Kid Stays in the Picture is the story of Robert Evans' rise from being a businessman to becoming a minor Hollywood actor and then the most successful film producer of the 1970s. The film documents Evans' struggles with Paramount Pictures and his triumphs in producing films such as The Godfather and Love Story. It also details Evans' personal life, including his marriage to Ali MacGraw and his addiction to cocaine.
