One of the best westerns ever filmed, it is an honest attempt to portray how Jesse James, Cole Younger, and other members of the "long riders" actually lived. The film involves the study of 19th century criminals with a "thrill a minute" action. An additional caveat is the period music such as "I'm a Good Ol' Rebel," and "Jack O' Diamonds." If you enjoy Westerns, don't miss this one. It's right up there with "The Wild Bunch."

An account of the exploits of the James-Younger gang, featuring brothers (Keach, Carradine, Quaid), playing the members of the gang, who were also bothers. A great attempt to at least come close to the truth.
