The queen of the ficticious country Sylvania is pressured by her cabinet members to marry. Her marriage is arranged with a diplomat notorious for his affairs with women. While he is the king of the bedroom, his official title is only Prince Consort and is frustrated over his lack of power in state matters. He eventually asserts his authority to be the decision maker, for her and for the entire country, which she accepts wholeheartedly.
