Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Motorcycle Diaries

In 1952, two friends -- a 23-year-old medical student and a 29-year-old biochemist from Rio de Janeiro -- decide to take an 8,000-kilometer motorcycle trip along the length of the South American continent. They head out from Argentina and into Chile in a smoky and undependable 1939 Norton, seeing lots of beautiful scenery, meeting displaced natives, and volunteering at a leper colony for several months in Peru. Gradually, the experience changes them, especially Ernesto. This movie is based on the journals of Che Guevara, the comrade of Fidel Castro.
