"The Muppet Movie" inspired by the orginal creator himself Jim Henson moved on to the big screen in the late 1970s with all the famous puppets back together on a adventurous ride. The movie starts off with Kermit the Frog and the rest of the Muppets gang watching the premier of a movie they are debuted in, telling the story of how all the friends came together.

It first begins with Kermit happily playing the banjo in a swampy river and singing "The Rainbow Connection". Just minding his own business, along comes a Hollywood agent Bernie that believes Kermit has what it takes to make it big musically, and there are also auditions held for singing frogs. So he offers a card to the frog if he wishes to accept his offer. Kermit realizes that this might be his first big break for stardom so he heads off to Sunny California to pursue his singing career. Along the way he is meets with Frozzy Bear a struggling comedian at a cafe where he was doing an act, also The Electric Mayhem band. Gonzo and Camilla, Missy Piggy (pagent queen) and Rowlf the piano-playing dog; all these new friends of Kermit goes along on his trip to Hollywood.
Kermit has to deal with a restaurant owner serving frog dishes. Doc Hopper wants the friendly frog as his spokesman (mascot) for French Fried Frog Legs a special deluxe dinner at his restaurant. Kermit turned down the job but Hopper won't take no as a answer. As the wannabe bigshot goes far out his way to catch him and force him to a job Kermit does not want. Now Kermit and all his pals is in a hurry to get to Hollywood, and Kermit have to make it to the audition quickly as time is running out or else be stuck being advertised as French Fried Frog Legs.
