This movie is about a young girl named Carla who comes back to live with her family after years of being in a special school for the thinking impaired. Carla is reunited with her over protected mother, her laid back, easy going father, her engaged older sister and a gay older sister.
Upon arriving home, Carla starts college, and meets a young man by the name of Danny. Danny, also mentally disabled, becomes Carlas friend. The two of them explore life together. Carla discovers her independance by getting her own apartment and the two discover life, along with their sexuality.
This is a sweet love story about two special people finding themselves and each other!
