Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Other Woman (2014)

Three women cheated on by the same man band together to get their revenge. Carly is a lawyer who dates the dashing entrepreneur Mark, who turns out to be married. When Mark calls off a date and has to "run home" for an emergency, Carly is upset and shows up unannounced at his doorstep. Kate, Mark's wife opens the door and both women are surprised. Soon after, Kate seeks Carly out in her office, then her apartment to know the details of their affair. The two forge an unlikely friendship and plan their revenge. However in the process, both women notice that Mark has now shifted his attention away from them, and after following him to a beach, discovers a third younger woman, Amber. The two talk to her and tell her the situation. She agrees to become part of their plan. They torture Mark with antics such as giving him hormones that make him more feminine and emotional. They spike his drink with a laxative. They also have a tranny pick him up. Oddly enough, as the girls keep Mark on his toes, Kate clings on lingering feelings for her husband. The two girls dissuade her, and tell her that her husband has been embezzling money from his business. The plan shifts into higher gear, as the girls now want to wreck his career. On another recon trip, they follow Mark to the Caribbean and find out where he's stashed the money, and apparently, a fourth girlfriend. Back in the States, Mark is confronted by all three women, about his womanizing and his fraudulent ways. He runs out of the office a wreck, left with nothing. Kate divorces him, Carly hooks up with Kate's hot brother, while Amber ends up with Carly's horndog dad.

Best part of story, including ending: I like the comedy that Kate adds to the mix, I feel that her character is the most relatable one of all.

Best scene in story: When everything unravels, and Mark sees all three women in the same room.

Opinion about the main character: Carly is independent and fierce and I find her lame antics unsuitable for her character. I think Mark isn't worth the time or effort for all the nonsense they concocted.
