The Preacher's Wife Movie Review Summary

Actors: Whitney Houston, Courtney B. Vance, Denzel Washington

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Preacher's Wife

In a remake of the holiday classic The Bishop's Wife, Denzel Washington plays a ghost who comes to visit Whitney Houston's character, who's married to a New York preacher portrayed by Courtney B. Vance. Houston does what she does best in the film, and in this case, she sings on the church choir. The ghost takes Houston different places such as shopping and to the bar where she first met her husband. At the bar, Houston sings the film's signature song, I Believe in You and Me. He even plays games with her son. They have so much fun together that Vance can't stand it. But the ghost makes a deal with the preacher, too, by agreeing to save his church from financial ruin. This is an uplifting holiday classic that can be enjoyed by all.
