THE ROOKIE is a movie directed by Clint Eastwood in 1990.

Nick Pulovski is a Los Angeles policeman working in the auto theft division. When his partner is killed by Strom and his men after months of investigation, Nick, although relieved from the case by the L.A.P.D. criminal division, swears he will avenge his friend.

Nick Pulovski (Eastwood) is a great street cop with enough sense to handle any task on his own. When a young, cocky, partner (Sheen) is thrown to him tension escalates. The young and the old must team up and hunt down a group of auto thiefs without killing each other first.
