A bunch of kids live a neighborhood, where all kids do is play baseball. This movie stars Scott Smalls (Tom Guiry) as a nerdy kid who moves into this neighborhood and has trouble making friends. Then he meets Benny Rodriguez (Mike Vitar) who makes him one of the sandlot kids. But Smalls still has a lot to learn. He doen't even know who Babe Ruth is!!!! Well, on the one day they start to accept him, he knocks a Babe signed ball into the clutches of "The Beast." The Beast is this big, ugly, monster thing that is in every kids nightmare. Now the sandlot kids have to get the ball back!!! In the end, the pickle the beast ans meets the beast's owner Mr. Mertle (James Earl Jones) who ends up being a good friend. This movie is SO great, adn you haven't lived until you've watched it!

This movie is set in Los Angeles, circa 1962. It features nine mischievous kids who have fun learning how to play baseball. The ghost of Babe Ruth makes a guest appearance, and James Earl Jones has a spectacular cameo. In the end, one of the kids marries his longtime crush, another kid almost reaches the major leagues, and Benny becomes a legend in the neighborhood and eventually makes the Dodgers.
