Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Social Network

Mark (Jesse Eisenberg) is a Harvard student who recently gets dumped by his girlfriend Erica (Rooney Mara). Angry, he goes back to his dorm and creates a website that rates Harvard girls and their looks. The site explodes and gets the attention of the Winklevoss twins (Armie Hammer) who recruit Mark to design a Harvard University socializing and networking site. Mark then gets the idea for Facebook, and enlists his friend Eduardo (Andrew Garfield) to fund it. When the Winklevoss twins get wind of this, they accuse Mark of stealing their idea. They try in vain to get Mark to stop the venture. Mark meanwhile meets with Napster founder Sean Parker (Justin Timberlake) to explore partnering options. This doesn't sit well with Eduardo. As the operation moves to California, Eduardo learns that Mark has given Sean more control than what was agreed on. Eduardo decides to sue him. The Winklevoss twins sue him as well, angered by the huge success of the site, which has gone global. In the legal battle, Mark agrees to settle with Eduardo to avoid going to court. Mark becomes a millionaire, but is still hung up on his ex Erica who started it all.

Best part of story, including ending: The thought that with just one small idea you can change the world. It chronicles how a spark can ignite into a phenomenon.

Best scene in story: When Mark programs the site in his dorm and the idea catches on.

Opinion about the main character: His arrogance can put anyone off. But it's the same cockiness that brought him success.
