De Funès, the owner of a small factory, must produce 3000 pieces of material for the Japanese in 90 days. Since the factory is too small, he will use his own house as part of it. But when he destroys the garden of his until now patient wife in order to add some more space, she decides to leave him.

Girardot, the revengeful De Funès's wife, joins the local ecological party, hoping to win the next elections against De Funès, the actual mayor. This is the beginning of a terrible spat.
