This oft-remade movie tells a story of Nome, Alaska during it's gold rush. In the midst of a booming period for this gold-mining town, goverment agents move in and start taking over prospectors' claims, using nefarious means to do so. There is also a jealous relationship parallelogram involving a prospector, the saloon owner, a government agent, and a judge's daughter. The bar fight is the climax that each version of the movie builds to, and each remake tries to surpass the previous one. This one does not fail to thrill, excite, and be a standard against which other bar fights should be measured.
