The Tall Guy Movie Review Summary

Actors: Emma Thompson, Jeff Goldblum

Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Tall Guy

Goldblum plays Dexter King, an American actor working in London. Dexter doesn't like his job playing straight man to an arrogant, tart-tongued stage comedian (Rowan Atkinson, a.k.a. Mr. Bean, in a hilarious turn) night after night. Our hero also doesn't have much luck with women until he meets Kate (Thompson), a nurse with a penchant for rubber gloves and blunt talk.

Their romance is tested when Dexter wins the lead in a new show based on The Elephant Man. (The project comes off as a cross between an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical and The Producers' "Springtime for Hitler.") Suddenly women are batting their eyes at the actor, and it's equally hard for Dexter to withstand their come-ons and for Kate to believe he'll remain faithful.
