THE TIGER OF ESCHNAPUR is a movie directed by Fritz Lang in 1959.

India. Harald Berger, a german architect, has been hired by Chandra, the Maharadjah of Eschnapur, to restore his palace. On his way to the city, Berger saves the life of Seetha who's been attacked by a voracious tiger. Seetha, a young dancer, has also been invited by Chandra who wants to get married again after the death of his wife. Berger and Seetha fall in love while Chandra's brother, Prince Ramigani, is conspiring with the priests against his brother who tries to import europeans ideas in the province.
