Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Unborn (2009)

Casey is being pursued by the spirit of her great uncle, who haunts his descendants who like him all have twins. Casey has been having nightmares involving a scary little boy and a dog. When her strange visions occur more often and the baby she babysits dies, she meets with an old Jewish woman whose name she finds in her mother's records. She turns out to be Casey's grandma and she tells her that she and her twin brother were experimented on by the Nazis back in WW2. The spirit of the boy has since then been tormenting his twin descendants, possessing them or others to wreak havoc. This apparently was the cause of Casey's mother's suicide. Casey, her boyfriend Mark, and best friend Romy figure out a way to end the cycle since several deaths have been occurring around them, including Casey's grandma. Casey meets a minister, Wyndham. The story culminates with an exorcism, with the spirit lashing its anger out to the participants. In the end, Mark dies from it. Months later, thinking that the chaos has died down, Casey learns that she is pregnant, with twins.
