Detailed plot synopsis reviews of The Unseen (1945)

When Elizabeth Howard (Gail Russell) comes to fashionable Crescent Drive to take charge of two motherless children, she finds them spoiled, unmanageable yet strangely cognizant of all the weird events going on in the ostensibly empty, shuttered house next door. Although their father, David Fielding (Joel McCrea) treats their tales with disdain, Elizabeth is convinced the children are telling the truth and that the house next door holds some terrible secret. Worse, it seems the children (Richard Lyon and Nona Griffith) may have unwittingly befriended a murderer.
