Meet Barbara and Oliver Rose, a happily married couple living the American dream, a perfect marriage, loving children and of course a beautiful home. As we follow their marriage from beginning to end we begin to realize things aren't as perfect as they seem and they begin to slowly but surely drive each other over the edge of reason. Starting with subtle distance and progressing into an all out war winning becomes a matter of life and death. This film directed by the always brilliant Danny DeVito is a comedy with a moral, marriage is for suckers, or at least chandeliers are.
