Lauren (played by Taraji P. Henson) is at the top of her game career wise. She is a CEO of a major corporation and she has extremely high standards--but she is still single. Her best friend Candice (played by Regina Hall) is a single mother who is also single. They are both fed up with the dating scene and wondering where "all the good men" are.
After both women read Steve Harvey's book (along with other tertiary characters) they meet a couple of eligible bachelors and use the book to help guide them. Lauren meets a "dreamer" (Michael Ealy) and Candice meets a "momma's boy" (Terrence J). From there, the relationships develop and the book's advice is working nicely. that is, until the men find out about the book and decide to get even!
Best part of story, including ending:
I liked this story because it was true to life. We fall into the same patterns and until we REQUIRE the people in our lives to do better, we will get the same results.
Best scene in story:
My favorite scene was when the momma's boy lied to his girlfriend about talking to his mother. That was funny and realistic.
Opinion about the main character:
The main character (played by Taraji P. Henson) was too stuck up.
