Detailed plot synopsis reviews of Thor: The Dark World

The Asgardians have always protected the Nine Kingdoms, but in a time long ago, the Dark Elf Malekith tried to use a very powerful substance called the Aether to extinguish all life in the universe. He was thwarted by the Asgardian ruler Bor, and the Aether was hidden away. Eons later, it has resurfaced and made its way into Dr. Jane Foster, a human and the love interest of the thunder god Thor. Malekith, who escaped and hid himself away in a long slumber, has awoken now that the Aether has been found. Malekith wages a new war on the Asgardians in an attempt to reclaim the Aether in order to complete his mission. Thor, hero of the Asgardians, must find Jane and protect her from this ancient menace and, in doing so, save the universe from destruction.
