Murray Burns has been unemployed for the past six months, and has been taking care of his nephew Nick for much longer than that. When two social workers come to take Nick away from this "genuinely dangerous environment", it slowly provokes a change in Murray's life, as he is forced to either get a job and own up to his responsibilities or lose Nick.
